FME’s flexibility goes well beyond the connectors developed by Safe Software. Users can create their own AI connections through APIs whenever they need full control over how new services are integrated. At the same time, Safe Software and our Partner Network accelerate this process by publishing ready-to-use custom transformers on the FME Hub, giving users instant access to prebuilt integrations. AI Transformers can be added straight from the Quick Add menu in Workbench, which allows organizations to spend their time designing workflows rather than building every connector from scratch.

Getting Started
To use these transformers, you will need to sign up with the respective AI service provider and then generate an API key.
- Sign up with your preferred AI provider (eg. OpenAI, Azure AI, Google AI, etc.)
- Generate an API key for authentication
- Install the relevant transformer(s) from FME Hub to connect to the AI service within FME
