Introduction

The FME Licensing Assistant is where FME Form licenses can be activated, viewed, modified, or removed. For Windows only, it is also the place where an offline license can be borrowed.

If you are installing and licensing FME Form for the first time, launching FME Form will pull up the Licensing Assistant for you since it'll need your input to find a license file or connection.

Accessing the FME Licensing Assistant

Windows

FME Licensing Assistant can be found in the same folder as your FME Form installation and you can access it from the Start Menu like any other application.

macOS

In FME 2025.1 and newer, you can pull up the Licensing Assistant by going to /Library/FME/<FME Version>/Apps and selecting the FME Licensing Assistant there to launch the application.

If you are running macOS FME Form 2025.0 and older, you can open the Licensing Assistant in FME Workbench via the menu bar, by selecting FME Workbench > Licensing Assistant:

Linux

On Linux, the Licensing Assistant is in the /opt/fme-form-<release> folder. You can also create shortcuts onto your desktop for ease of access. See Installing FME Form on Linux for more information.
