FME Version
Introduction
Beginning with the release of FME Flow 2025.1, the V3 REST API will enter a deprecation phase. Here’s what this means for you:
-
Limited Support Starting 2025.1
While the V3 API will remain accessible, no new features or general bug fixes will be implemented. Critical security issues and high-impact bugs will be addressed on a case-by-case basis to ensure the stability of your workflows during the transition. -
Complete Removal in 2026.0
The V3 API will be removed entirely in FME Flow 2026.0, and we encourage all users to prepare their systems for this change. -
Introducing the V4 API
FME Flow 2025.1 will also debut the new V4 REST API. Built with a focus on security, usability, and enhancements. To support this transition, a detailed V3-to-V4 migration guide will be available shortly.
The V3 API has been the de facto standard since emerging from technical preview in FME Flow (formerly FME Server) 2017.0, serving for over seven years. The V4 API is built with longevity and scalability in mind, ensuring it will support your workflows for years to come.
We recognize that changes like these can be challenging, especially for customers with deeply integrated workflows. Our commitment is to provide the tools and support you need to migrate successfully. If you have any concerns or require guidance, please reach out to us through the FME Community or our support channels.
