FME Mobile Deprecation

Introduction

As of July 18th, 2023, there have been no new updates to FME Mobile (formerly FME Data Express), an FME app developed by Safe Software. FME Mobile has been deprecated and will no longer be maintained or updated. We are instead focusing our development efforts on improving the FME AR mobile app.

FME Mobile was a mobile app that allows users to run FME Flow jobs and FME Flow Apps from their mobile devices. It was originally developed to retrieve data from FME Flow to view in the FME AR mobile app or to run workspaces from FME Flow.

Symptom

If FME Mobile is installed on your mobile device, it can still be used, but it is not recommended as it is outdated and will not be updated. Currently, the FME Mobile app is still available in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store but may be removed at any time without notice.

Workaround

Data can be accessed from FME Flow or FME Flow Hosted by creating an FME Flow App and sharing the URL or by logging into your instance from a mobile browser. Data can be retrieved directly from the FME AR mobile app.
