Workspace Fails on FME Server due to Missing Client Libraries

A workspace that runs successfully on FME Desktop, fails on FME Server. You may see a message that contains:
...Client libraries could not be loaded...
...are both 32 bit or both 64 bit...

This issue occurs when external software installed on the FME Desktop machine is missing from the FME Server system. As well, it may be the case that the software has been installed, but it does not match the FME installation (32-bit vs 64-bit). Examples of this include: Esri ArcSDE and Oracle Clients.

Look at the job log to see what dependencies may be missing. These should be mentioned in the error message. Install the missing components on the FME Server machine ensuring that the correct version is installed which matches the architecture of FME Server installation (32-bit vs 64-bit).

Also make sure that any required paths are set on the FME Server machine's PATH environment variable. Note that after any changes to the server's configuration its a good idea to restart your FME Server services in order to make sure that these changes are propagated.
