FME Server Web UI unresponsive

Symptom

After installing FME Server you experience problems in the Web UI. Potential problems include:

• None of the links respond to a click action.
• Both the show request and reset buttons turned into run buttons
• Menus may be hidden
• 404 errors may occur on some pages

You will also receive this message when you open Internet Explorer:

Microsoft Internet Explorer's Enhanced Security Configuration is currently enabled on your server. This enhanced level of security reduces the risk of attack from Web-based content that is not secure, but it may also prevent Web sites from displaying correctly and restrict access to network resources.

Cause

You have Internet Explorer Enhanced Security enabled. By default this is enabled on some Windows Server versions.

Resolution

There are three options for correcting this issue:

1. Use an alternate browser on the Windows Server machine. Using a browser such as Chrome or Firefox will alleviate the issue.
2. Add the Server to the Internet Explorer Trusted Sites Zone.
3. Disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security. Details on how to do this can be found here .
