FME Server starts, but I can't access the web interface from a different machine

Symptom

If you can start FME Server, but you can't access the web interface from a different machine.

Cause

There is most likely there a firewall preventing access.

Resolution

You need to allow connections on the web application server port (usually port 80 with FME Server).  For Windows, take a look at Windows Firewall.  For Linux, take a look at iptables.

Once the firewall settings have been corrected, confirm the solution corrected the issue by connecting from a remote machine.
