FME Version
Symptom
When starting an FME application, an error occurs and the software shuts down. You may see the following error messages:
The message may state that 'bcrypt.dll' cannot be found and you may also notice that other applications on the system fail to start.
Cause
This issue can be caused by a corrupted windows system file or a misconfiguration of the Windows display settings.

Resolution
Use the Window System File Checker (SFC.exe) tool to scan for errors. To do this:
1) Start a command prompt as an Administrator.
2) Enter sfc /scannow
3) Restart FME Desktop once the scan has completed to verify if the issue has been fixed.
