ORA-28040 No matching authentication protocol exception

An error may occur in FME Workbench when adding or testing an Oracle database connection or when running an existing workspace that is connecting to an Oracle 12.1 Database (or newer) with older Oracle client software installed. For example, Oracle 11g client won't connect to the Oracle 12.1 database by default. You may see this error.

Please update your Oracle client software to Oracle 12.1 or greater and try testing the connection again.
