FME Server Restore: Specified user account does not exist

Symptom

In FME Server I perform a backup in a version pre-2019 and when I go to restore the fsconfig file the task fails and the error reported is:

An error occurred: Specified user account does not exist..

Cause

In FME Server 2019 there was an overhaul of Token Management, we have found in some cases pre-2019 the Tokens table in FME Server Database contained:

a) a user token with no user name associated with it

b) a user name recorded twice in lowercase and uppercase

Resolution

Please contact Safe Software Support so they can remove the offending token item from the .fsconfig file. This issue was fixed in 2019.1 and migration will now skip over user tokens that are associated with invalid user accounts.
