FME Version

Known Issue ID FMESERVER-16513
Discovered 2021.0 b21302
Affects 2021.0 b21302
Resolved 2021.0.1 b21313

Symptoms

When looking at the Engines page, one or more engines are not in use and under the Queue it is Assigned to stream "" with a blank value in the quotes.

Attempting to assign the unusable engine(s) to a different queue with the Engine Assignment Rules will raise an error saying "The following engines are invalid because they are assigned to a stream: <EngineName>. Specify only engines that are not assigned to a stream."

Cause

This occurs when a user removed an FME Server Stream while it was 'Stopped'.

Workaround

Unassign engines from streams before removing them. Alternatively, the engines will go back to the Default queue if the stream is removed while in the 'Started' status.

If your engines are in the unusable state, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new stream and select any workspace.
  2. Under the Assigned Engines section, select the unavailable engines and click OK. The engines can still be selected in this menu.
  3. Check off the assigned engines, and click Unassign. The engines will be back in the Default queue.
