Introduction
FME Flow Hosted lets users run multiple versions of FME Flow at the same time. Maintaining many versions takes extra effort. To manage this, Safe Software offers only the following FME Flow versions on FME Flow Hosted at one time.
FME Release Versioning
As of 2026, Safe Software has adopted a YYYY.Release.Update versioning format across FME Form and FME Flow. This model supports a regular quarterly release cadence. For the purpose of this article, the version will be the quarterly Release version of YYYY.Release.Update.
Beta
If available, Safe Software offers the FME Flow beta for the next quarterly release.
The FME Flow beta build offered on FME Flow Hosted may not align with the build available for download on safe.com.
Official Releases
Safe Software offers the latest version of the last three quarterly releases.
Scenario
Example 1
2026.3 is the current official release, and there is a 2026.4 beta available. Safe Software would, therefore, offer the following versions on FME Flow Hosted:
- Beta: 2026.4 beta
- Official Releases: 2026.3, 2026.2, 2026.1
- Not Available: 2025.2 or older
Example 2
2026.4 has now been officially released, and there is a 2027.1 beta available. Safe Software would, therefore, offer the following versions on FME Flow Hosted:
- Beta: 2027.1 beta
- Official Releases: 2026.4, 2026.3, 2026.2
- Not Available: 2026.1 or older
