Can I Change the Location of the FME Flow System Share Directory?

Can I change the location of the FME Flow (formerly FME Server) System Share Directory after Installation?
 

Answer

No. Changing the FME Flow System Share Directory Location requires reinstalling FME Flow.
This is due to multiple complexities and dependencies related to the location of the System Share. The System Share directory is where FME Flow stores commonly accessed files such as logs and resources. The default location of this directory is C:\ProgramData\Safe Software\FME Flow\ – and please note that the ProgramData directory is often hidden by default in the Windows File Explorer.

Changing the System Share Directory Location by Upgrading

See our documentation on Upgrading FME Flow to change the System Share Directory. The location you wish to change to must be specified during the FME Flow installation process. Changing the directory after installation is not supported.
